IAC Facility Booking

IAC has an enhanced seminar room, at state-of-the-art IT training laboratory, and a browsing room. These facilities can be booked by organizations inside and outside of BUET to hold seminars, trainings, and conferences.

A nominal booking fee has to be paid and bookings must be made at least three days prior to the event. In addition, there is a tea lounge that can be used at free of cost if either seminar room or IT training lab is booked. The tea lounge can be used for arranging tea breaks, lunch, or dinners. However, a nominal staff cost has to be paid for arranging the refreshment related events who will serve the foods and clean the room after the event.

• Fill up the required information in the booking form

Fees for Booking Seminar Room

The seminar room is equipped with an overhead projector with presenter system, a sound system, a wireless microphone, and a podium for presenting speeches. The seat capacity of the seminar room is around 150. Seminar room can be booked in three sessions in a day. The sessions are as follows.

• Session 1: 9am - 1pm
• Session 2: 2pm - 5pm
• Session 3: 5pm - 8pm

For each session, the booking fee is as follows:

• External Organizations (Outside BUET): 10,000 BDT + 600 BDT (Staff cost)
• Departments/Institutes of BUET (Inside BUET): 5,000 BDT + 600 BDT (Staff cost)

Note that the staff cost 600 BDT is a customary cost for a staff who will be present during the event and help the organizers in smooth use of the IAC resources and conduction of the event.

Fees for Booking IT Training Lab

The IT training lab of IAC is equipped with 33 high-end workstations, an overhead projector with presenter system, a sound system with wireless microphone, and internet connections. Similar to seminar room, IT training lab can be booked in three sessions in a day. The sessions are as follows.

• Session 1: 9am - 1pm
• Session 2: 2pm - 5pm
• Session 3: 5pm - 8pm

For each session, the booking fee is as follows:

• External Organizations (Outside BUET): 20,000 BDT + 600 BDT (Staff cost)
• Departments/Institutes of BUET (Inside BUET): 10,000 BDT + 600 BDT (Staff cost)

Note that if both seminar room and IT lab are booked together, then staff cost has to be paid only once.
